Healthcare

Every sample traceable, every result signed

Laboratory information management for medical laboratories, hospital labs and diagnostic chains.

What it does

Laboratory Information System

A laboratory is judged on two things: whether the result is right, and whether it arrived in time. Both are undermined by paper — a sample identified by a name written on a tube, a result transcribed by hand, a turnaround time nobody measures because nobody recorded when the sample actually arrived.

  • Patient and sample registration with barcode labels printed at reception
  • Test ordering by panel or individual test, with sample-type validation
  • Sample tracking: received, in progress, verified, reported, archived
  • Analyser interfacing so results land in the system without retyping
  • Result entry with reference ranges and automatic abnormal flagging
  • Two-stage validation — technologist entry, pathologist verification
  • Internal quality control with Levey-Jennings charts and Westgard rules
  • Turnaround time reporting by test, by section and by shift
  • Cash, NHIF and corporate billing at registration
  • Result delivery by print, email, SMS notification or portal
  • Reagent and consumable stock with expiry and lot tracking

Tanzania

Quality standards a Tanzanian lab is held to

  • Health Laboratory Practitioners Council — practitioner registration recorded against the staff who validate results.
  • ISO 15189 practice — traceability, validation, QC records and document control structured for accreditation.
  • NHIF billing — tests priced and claimed at the point of ordering.
  • Reagent lot control — lot and expiry recorded against each run, which is what a QC investigation needs.
  • Turnaround commitments — measured from actual sample receipt, not from when someone remembered to log it.

How we work

Scoped first, built in phases

We look at the process

Not a sales meeting. We sit with the people who do the work now and find where the time and money actually go.

You get a written scope

What will be built, what it costs, how long it takes, and what is explicitly out of scope. In writing, before anything starts.

Built in phases

The part that hurts most is delivered first and put into real use, so value arrives before the whole project is finished.

Trained and supported

Your staff are trained on the real system with real data, and support continues after go-live.

Runs on your own server if you want it to. Internet in Tanzania is not guaranteed. Systems can be installed on a machine at your premises so the business keeps working during an outage, syncing when the connection returns.

Frequently asked

Laboratory Information System — questions we get

Can it connect to our analysers?

Most analysers that support standard interfacing or export results to file can be connected, so results flow in without transcription. We confirm your specific instruments before quoting.

Does it support two-person result validation?

Yes. A technologist enters or receives the result and a verifying officer releases it; both are recorded against the report.

Can patients receive results without coming back?

Yes, by SMS notification with portal access or by email, under whatever release policy you set.

Do you handle quality control charts?

Yes, with Levey-Jennings plots and Westgard rule violations flagged at the point of the run rather than at month end.
