Managed support

Someone to call who already knows your setup

Contracted IT support for Tanzanian businesses — helpdesk, on-site engineers, servers, networks and end users.

What it does

IT Support & Helpdesk

Most Tanzanian SMEs run IT on the phone number of whoever set the office up three years ago. That works until they are unreachable, or until the person who knew the Wi-Fi password left. Contracted support replaces that with documented systems, a number that answers, and someone who has already seen your network before the day it breaks.

  • Helpdesk by phone, WhatsApp and email during agreed hours
  • On-site engineer visits in Dar es Salaam, scheduled and emergency
  • Remote support so most issues are fixed without a site visit
  • Server monitoring, patching and health reporting
  • Network monitoring — links, switches, access points and firewalls
  • Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace administration, licensing and migration
  • User account joiner, mover and leaver processes
  • Backup configuration, monitoring and — critically — restore testing
  • Antivirus, endpoint protection and patch compliance
  • Printer, scanner and office equipment support
  • Asset register: what hardware you own, its age, warranty and who has it
  • Documented network diagrams and credentials handover
  • Vendor liaison with your ISP and equipment suppliers on your behalf
  • Monthly reporting on tickets, uptime and what is about to need replacing

Tanzania

How support actually works here

  • Same time zone, same city — Support is delivered by people in Dar es Salaam who can be at your office. Offshore helpdesks cannot replace a plug being reseated.
  • Response times in writing — Contracts state response and attendance targets by severity. A stated target you can hold us to is worth more than an assurance that we are always available.
  • Internet reality — We monitor your links and raise faults with your ISP ourselves, with the evidence attached. Chasing a provider is a large part of what IT support in Tanzania actually is.
  • Power — UPS sizing, shutdown configuration and generator changeover behaviour are part of the support scope, because most 'server' faults here are power events.
  • Documentation and exit — Your network documentation and credentials are yours, kept current, and handed over on request. Support should not become a hostage situation.

How we work

Scoped first, built in phases

We look at the process

Not a sales meeting. We sit with the people who do the work now and find where the time and money actually go.

You get a written scope

What will be built, what it costs, how long it takes, and what is explicitly out of scope. In writing, before anything starts.

Built in phases

The part that hurts most is delivered first and put into real use, so value arrives before the whole project is finished.

Trained and supported

Your staff are trained on the real system with real data, and support continues after go-live.

We take over from whoever is there now. Onboarding starts with a documented audit of what you actually have — devices, licences, backups and who holds which password — because you cannot support an environment nobody has written down.

Frequently asked

IT Support & Helpdesk — questions we get

Do you replace our in-house IT person?

Either. Some clients have no IT staff and we are the whole function. Others have one internal person and we provide escalation, after-hours cover and the specialisms one person cannot cover alone.

How quickly do you respond?

Response and on-site attendance targets are set by severity in the contract. A server or link down is not treated like a printer, and both are stated in writing before you sign.

Do you support equipment you did not supply?

Yes. Onboarding includes an audit of the existing environment. We will tell you what is unsupportable or end-of-life, but we will not require you to replace working equipment to become a client.

Is our data safe with an outsourced provider?

Access is role-based and logged, engineers are named, and credentials are held in an audited store. We can work under an NDA and to your data protection obligations under the Personal Data Protection Act.

What if we want to leave?

Documentation, credentials and asset registers are handed over in full. There is no lock-in through withheld information.
