Scan one QR code to connect your WhatsApp Business number. PiChat then greets, answers and routes every conversation in Swahili and English — and hands the hard ones to a real person.

How it works
No new number, no app for your staff to install, nothing for your customers to change. They keep messaging the number they already know.
Create your account, press Show QR code, then open WhatsApp on your phone → Settings → Linked devices → Link a device, and scan. Same step as WhatsApp Web — your number and chat history stay on your phone.
Type your welcome message and up to nine options — prices, opening hours, order status, talk to a person. Write it in Swahili, English, or both.
Every incoming message is answered in seconds, day or night. Anything the bot cannot handle rings a human on the PiCall desk with the whole conversation attached.
What it does
Built for how Tanzanian businesses really use WhatsApp — quotes, order updates, payment confirmations, and the same six questions asked forty times a day.
Nobody waits. A reply lands the moment they message, even at 2am, with your menu of options.
The bot detects which language they opened with and stays in it. Written naturally, not translated word for word.
"Talk to someone" routes to your team on the PiCall desk, with the conversation already loaded.
Send status changes automatically to the customer who placed the order — triggered from your own system.
Acknowledge payment references the moment they arrive, so nobody messages twice asking if it went through.
Different answers in and out of hours, with your own holiday calendar respected.
Tag conversations — new lead, awaiting payment, resolved — and reuse the answers you type most.
Messages received, answered by bot, escalated, first response time, busiest hour. Per agent and per day.
Send to customers who have opted in. Meta charges per conversation for business-initiated messages; we pass that through at cost.
Free from WhatsApp
These are free features of the WhatsApp Business app and platform. Most businesses have never turned them on. PiChat sets them up and keeps them in sync.
Two ways to connect
Both are built in. Pick per number — you can change later without losing your chats.
Live in about a minute with any WhatsApp number. Best for answering customers who message you first. Not an official Meta integration, so avoid bulk sending on it.
Meta’s supported connection. Needed for catalogue, Channels and outbound campaigns, and the right choice at volume. Requires business verification with Meta.
Honest limits
We do not scrape numbers from directories or group chats, and we will not load a bought list. WhatsApp bans numbers for this quickly — usually within days — and once your number is banned, the customers you *do* have can no longer reach you either.
Contact details are also personal data under Tanzania's Personal Data Protection Act, 2022, so messaging people who never opted in is a legal exposure on top of a commercial one.
What works instead: put your QR code and wa.me link everywhere, answer fast, and let people opt in. A list of people who chose to hear from you outperforms a bought one by a distance — and it is still yours next year.
Pricing
| Plan | Best for | Includes |
|---|---|---|
| Starter | One number, one location | Greeting, menu, away replies, catalogue, labels, reporting |
| Business | A team answering together | Starter, plus agent handover to the PiCall desk and order-status automation |
| Contact centre | High volume or several branches | Business, plus multiple numbers, routing rules and API access to your own systems |
Meta charges separately for business-initiated conversations; those are billed at cost with no markup. Message us with your monthly volume and we will quote against it rather than guess.
